Heavy rainfall causes a Indiana river to swell and flood the town. All inhabitants are forced by public services to leave instantly. Tom and his uncle Charlie work for a money transport firm and their assignment is to evacuate all cash from the banks along the flooding river. So, their truck is loaded with about three million Dollars. Hank tries to prevent further flooding, as he's the guy responsible for the dam up the river, but he has to open one gate in order to save the old dam from breaking. Only the police under the Sheriff's leadership stay in town to prevent looting. As the water level rises, Tom and Charlie's Truck gets stuck in the flooded road. This is the moment, Jim, an elderly thief, and his gang have been waiting for. In an attempt to get the money from the truck, Charlie gets shot and Tom swims off to save the cash bags. While trying to hide, he meets Karen, who resisted to leave the old church she has been restoring for eight months. She thinks he is a looter, and calls the cops to bring him in. But as the Sheriff finds out about that much cash in a situation like this, he radios his old pal Hank, up at the dam. This is a highly recommended movie. It isn't the best action movie you'll see but it is different enough to warrant your attention and certainly one which you'll enjoy. Something a little different from the norm.

Interesting to see this film embraced by a later crowd. I was a rare fan of the first DVD because of the rain effects. Released right after the 200 million dollar Titanic; the 70 million Hard Rain seemed to have been another Big Hollywood Watery Disaster film; but no bag of peanuts. The large and varied cast, do and say a lot of things that are entertaining and less deep than the flood level. Still; it's more fun than a barrel of sea monkeys. Anyone involved in the production would have been glad to accept awards for their work instead of the scorn from critics and the box office. Maybe it's getting ripe like wine. The Blu-ray looks and sounds much better than I hoped for; although the mist and precipitation may reduce visibility.

Thank you Lionsgate for pointlessly region-locking this 12-year-old film on Blu Ray. I totally cannot play it now. That's money you WON'T be making from a sale.

entertaining from start to finish addictive and great recommend it to everyone who loves adventure, action and thriller

Hard Rain is nothing but mindless action entertainment. The film never takes its self really serious which is cool. Morgan Freemen and Christan Slater pretty much give paper thin performances but once again the film is full of action sequences and lots of good special effects. If you want to waste a rainy day then check out Hard Rain.

Do not buy ''Stoked" no matter what the reviews claimed. it'S the worst game to come to existence. To be more clearly, it's the worst I ever played. There's no race. Only one character riding down a freaking snow moutain, don't buy it. it's a waste of money and time. The game is the of the worst of all snowboarding game. DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoked was the first snowboard game that I purchased for the xbox 360. Since then I have purchased several others. It has the best control layout of any of the games (similar to Skate, you use the analog for the most part) it is very fluid and certainly makes it possible to string out some excellent combos/tricks. Having said that it is one of the few bright spots in the game. My main disappointment was that (at least IMO) it is not very fun overall. It takes forever to unlock anything, and there is very little story wise to keep things interesting. The graphics are ok at best, the snow effects are good but the mountains/levels seem rather repetitive at times. Although it is a snowboarding game, sometimes it helps to have different challenges or mini-games to break up the monotomy. Stoked has none of these. Even the choices you have for equipment at the beginning of the game are very boring and limited. Also you never see skiers or boarders unless you are near a challenge and even then they are little more than stick figures that wave at you. The soundtrack is good (I especially enjoy the opening music) but some of the songs are bizarre at times. All in all it has the best actual snowboarding mechanics of any game I've played, but as a game itself it really doesn't have much to make me want to play it repeatedly, unlike Amped 3 which is a great game in and of itself. If you have played the Skate series (Skate 2) and were looking for a similar game about snowboarding, you might have checked out Shawn White's game, but Stoked is truly the Skate of snowboarding... sort of. The controls are very, very similar to Skate, you manipulate the sticks and hold down buttons to do grabs, spins, flips and grinds. The controls feel very nice, and they are easy to learn, but hard to master. The campaign flies you to a mountain where you can roam freely and complete challenges, most of the time these want you to do a series of tricks, or just score a certain amount of points off a certain jump. You get points from completing challenges, that will allow you to unlock different mountains. The campaign starts off pretty slowly, but eventually you will get sponsored, where you can do some more exciting competitions and photo-shoots. You can get gear through your sponsors, and fully customize yourself. The customization is not as good as Skate's, its a bit more basic, but it still allows you to customize your look. The graphics are nice, the mountains are fully rendered, the snow looks great. The character animations look good most of the time, but they can look a bit stiff at times. It really captures what it is like to be riding in the backcountry of a large mountain, its truly spectacular. The sound is very good too, the sound of snow crunching under the board, wind, the sound of you falling right into a tree, it all sounds great. The music is even better, there is a wide variety of music, and you can switch songs very easily using the D-pad. The multiplayer is pretty good, but because of how large the mountains are, you can still feel pretty isolated even with 6 other people. Its fun just riding around, or you can suggest games for your group to do, these are pretty fun, ranging from getting points, to races, to a game called "the snow is lava" where you try not to touch the ground. After you finish the campaign, you probably won't want to try it again, it does offer quite a bit of gameplay though. The nice graphics and gameplay make it seem pretty polished, but it can be pretty slow at times, not as fast-paced as Skate or similar games. A fun game, great for snowboarders and non-snowboarders alike.

I absolutely love this game. The best part is style vs. huckster which really adds to the replay value. If you are a fan of SB games, thhen you owe it to yourself to get this game. Also, I simply cannot wait for the Big Air Edition. Count me in for that, too!

5/5 - Ive never played a Perfect Snowboarding game... But this definitely is the best one I've played in this Genre. Pushing the boundaries of realism and maintaining great playability, has earned this title a 5/5 in my book. THE CONTROLS work great. They can be adjusted based on if you like nice tight carving or slow steady shreading. Some people have had problems, but don't notice that how it handles is dependent on the setup of your snowboard and the angles you can adjust on the bindings. This gives your character a different stance and weight distribution and effects overall handling THE GRAPHICS are top notch, watching the sunrise from a shrine on top of Mt. Fuji is quite spectacular. THE WEATHER SYSTEM adds a whole new level of depth to the Genre. You check the new snowfall on the mountains and see if it's still snowing or if it's gonna be a nice sun shining day on the mountain. Having the snow level rise and fall based on this make the runs somewhat unexpected each day... That rock you plastered yourself on a week back... might be under 2 feet of snow now and you will be zipping right over it wondering where the heck it was! THE CHALLENGES can get a bit repetitive, but it also isn't exactly the same each time, there are 3 different types of challenges in the game. Bust out certain named tricks off of a specific mountain Feature, Do certain type of tricks (ie: grab, spin, flip) of a specific feature, Land a chain of tricks off specific mountain features; but each one is a new run and style for the most part. Photoshoots, sponsor challenges, and Pro rides, are definately something that breaks that repetition though. Overall this is a Stellar Snowboarding title worthy of much more praise then it has been given. If you enjoy a nice realistic snowboard title, do yourself a favor and pick this one up... and being launched at $29.99... you can't go wrong!

I purchased these shoes, over 30 days ago, due to the fact that the companay that was selling them on Amazon said that they were in stock. Come to find out that they wouldnt ship them for almost 2 months, and they already took the money out of my account for them. Ive been useing Amazon.com since 2003, and have never had a problem like this until i ordered these shoes.

I recently decided I'd take up running. I keep looking back over that sentence in disbelief. See, for most of my life I'd regarded runners and the things they did to themselves with the same incredulous nature as I'd previously reserved for German adult film actors. Yet here I am. A runner. One of those people you see running in 40 degree weather and light snow. Yeah. Four years ago, had you told me this is what I'd be doing, I'd have laughed. Actually I'd have sputtered half a laugh before breaking down into a throaty smoker's hack, face turning red and tears welling around the edges of my eyes. The type of fit that would leave you uncertain as to if you should pat me reassuringly on the back or pick up a phone and dial "9-1" and just ... wait. Anyway, here I am, a runner. Honestly, I lucked into buying these shoes. Reason I bought them? Thought they looked cool, and they weren't too cheap. See I figured I'd have a rough time getting into running. Why? BECAUSE IT'S FREAKING RUNNING. It's hell on your joints and about as fun as a kidney stone. So I thought the only way to force myself to give it a solid shot would be to buy somewhat not-cheap shoes so I wouldn't want the money to go to waste. Lucky for me, my running friends tell me I made a good choice. I mean, as far as I can tell, I love them. Extremely comfy, rugged, but at the same time nice and light. One of my friends who was remarking at how sturdy the shoe looked was extremely surprised at its lightweight nature when she picked it up. Oh! And it has this really nifty Kevlar lacing system. You just jam your foot in there, yank on the little tab thingie attached to the laces and the entire shoe just SUCKS itself onto your foot. Creepy, man. I have to admit I still haven't mastered using the little button release system to undo the laces. I mean I still manage to get the shoes off with no problem, yeah, but. Sometimes I do so a little awkwardly. I'd like to be a little smoother at it, just in case some hottie walks by while I'm doing so. So I can be all "Yeah baby, I know my way around some shoes." And throw down some serious fingergun/wink action. Gets the ladies every time. I generally use the shoes on rocky trails just outside of town, but I've also done a bit of running around my neighborhood on pavement and sidewalks and such. Seemed pleasing for either environment. Oh and they seem to dry really quickly after stomping through puddles while yelling "SPLASH!" Probably without the yelling too, but I sure wouldn't know. The only reason I'm giving this shoe 4 stars instead of 5 is that I, uh. I feel kind of presumptuous as a running newb giving anything 5 stars. That seems like just asking for terrible karma. Like, next thing you know I'd totally blow my knee out the next time I went out running. Yeah. And then I'd have to stay home playing Xbox instead of torturing myself out on the trails. This. This clearly requires more thought. Anyway. Nice shoes. UPDATE: I just took said shoes out for a mud-running excursion in the middle of a heavy rainstorm. Holy CRAP. These things are awesome! There were several times where I thought I was going to slip and eat it in some fairly hardcore areas, but each time the shoe's traction totally saved my butt. I only had enough time to partially hurl an expletive like "HOLY G-" or "MOTHERD-" or "SAMMY HAG-" before the tread dug in and I was fine. Man. These things rule. If I ever have a kid, I'm naming it Salomon, no matter what the gender. Okay, as you were.

These shoes are very comfortable and I get comments on them all the time. If you have wide feet like me they may be a little tight at first, but my shoes stretched out a little bit after wearing them a few times and fit perfectly now.

I bought these as somewhat of a hybrid (light) hiking shoe and trail runner. I've gone on some pretty intense, muddy, slippery hikes in these and they stood the test. The sole is pretty hard and has great traction. I was a bit worried about ankle support but the heel is cupped in a way that keeps your ankle from rolling (within reason). So it stood the text as a hiking shoe. I have also done some short runs in them. They're very light for a trail runner which is great. But they're not exactly a substitute for true running shoes. I probably wouldn't recommend them for anything over 3-4 miles on flat ground. All in all, they do what I wanted them to do and I'd buy them again for sure.

had for about 6 months and they startes to fall apart, started to pull apart at the seems and get holes in the mesh part of shoe. took to store, salesmen never seen anything like it.
